Cincinnati Member Brian Devir Accepts Position at U.S. EPA

After twenty years as a Department of Energy contractor at the Fernald, Ohio facility, and subsequently, another four years as an employee of the Department itself within the Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center in Cincinnati, Brian Devir has accepted a Program Analyst position at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The headquarters’ position is part of the EPA's Research & Development Office within the Office of Science Information Management and is duty stationed in Cincinnati at the EPA offices in Clifton.  The position will act as the Lead Records Liaison Officer for thirteen laboratory and office locations across the country.

The Office of Research and Development (ORD) conducts research on ways to prevent pollution, protect human health, and reduce risk. The work at ORD laboratories, research centers, and offices across the country helps improve the quality of air, water, soil, and the way we use resources. 

Brian will start at the EPA on July 6, 2010. About his new position, Brian states, "I expect many new challenges with this position and I hope my experience will enable me to meet these challenges."
